Since the Dominion War, there have been numerous reports of space anomalies occurring within the Delta Quadrant, while there have been no honest pursuit of the anomalies and mapping to take place to date, the federation felt it necessary to return to scientific exploration and begin mapping the Delta Quadrant in earnest.

While other ships have reported space-time diversions in several locations throughout the quadrant, several vessels have been lost within these anomalies and never heard from again. It is possible that these anomalies have opened to new parallel dimensions, and there have been sightings of a Borg cube, Jem’Hadar and Dominion vessels lingering near these anomalies. It is unknown if the collective or Dominion are using these phenomena for strategic and assimilation




purposes of other worlds and species, but will need further investigation. The Atlantis was designed to answer these concerns, and is a long-range science and emergency hospital vessel, but is well armed and with the NX registry she has cutting edge features, which include many new federation and alliance devices on board. It has been fitted with additional components specifically tuned for her space-time duties. The primary role of the vessel remains scientific research, with the ability to remain on-station for indeterminate duration and take care of itself far from normal support resources, but also can defend her self and those in need. The Atlantis also has a patrol, combat support, convoy escort vessel, USS Atlas, a Pulsar 2 Class, also with an NX registry 90217.

We will be exploring new frontiers never before seen by any member of the Federation. It will be an adventure like no other and we need able men and women who are willing to serve Starfleet in its most important task of the post-war era.
