As the Atlantis managed to cross through the lightning storm unscathed, Tobias stood from his seat as he saw something in the distance. Looking at James he asked him, "what is that?"
"I...I don't know sir. It looks like us!"
Staring them in the face was a carbon copy of their Atlantis, down to the scratches from going through the storm.
The reactions she was sensing around her were almost overwhelming due to her own emotional upheaval at what they were all bearing witness to. Dayea chanced a glance at the CO noting his reaction was the same as the rest of the crew.
"James, hail them."
"Open a channel."
The channel opened as Tobias began to speak. "This is Cpatain Cook of the Starship Atlantis..." his words trailed off as he was looking at an image of himself. A bearded, older image filled the bridge.
"Yes, I am aware of who you are as I am he."
Tobias looked at James and the others on the bridge then back to the screen. "May I ask the current year."
"2401."
Tobias looked at James. "That is fifteen years in the future. Get with Science and see if there was some sort of temporal rift that caused the time travel."
"Understood Captain"
Luisfer said "I sence somthing is not right I can't place it but something is a miss here."
Tobias looked at Luisfer, "I agree."
The other Tobias on the other end of the viewscreen looked at the confused crew. "How did you arrive here?"
"That is a good question. I will have the crew look into it and get back to you." Tobias was hoping this was a dream and he was not really seeing what he was seeing.
"That will suffice. Please make it as soon as possible."
Tobias looked back at Luisfer, "what do your senses tell you now?"
"They or he are not exaclty who they claim to be, I sence a dark sinister power and purpose about him." Replied Luisfer
Tobias looked at Luisfer then over to Dayea. "Lieutenant?"
Dayea couldn't take her eyes from the screen. It was obviously her CO though a future version of him. The stature was a same though there seemed to be more coldness radiating from him.... a pain she was unable to fathom. Finally forcing her gaze from the sight she turned back toward her instruments to begin a scan. After a quick once over she looked up at Cook and replied, "My scans are being blocked, sir. Even passive scans are being blocked. If our eyes are to be believed then this is real and we know what we're looking at."
The older Cook recognised Dayea as she sat there. Memories flooded back as he tried to contain them. "Perhaps we should meet. Perhaps in person?"
Tobias looked back at the older man. "Me and my team will beam to your ship."
"I look forward to it."
The screen returned to the blackness of space. Tobias looked at Dayea. "Are you wanting to stay or go?"
For just a moment the scientist had sworn she'd seen an emotion that seemed almost alien for the man she'd come to know. At least her CO. With a nod she finally locked eyes with Tobias and replied, "I believe my going could be beneficial. I might be able to work out what's happened and why."
Hades said "Captain maybe I should go too I might be able work out what he is trying to hide."
Tobias looked at his counselor. "Agreed."
Luisfer turned and headed for the tubro lift.
With a nod Dayea made her way toward the lift, sensing her CO following close behind. Her excitement mounting at the prospect of answers yet to come.
